1. I'm already sending my traffic to another carrier. Do I really need to use your services?
CarrieXchange is not a carrier. It is an exchange market to access several Carriers, Sellers, Buyers and Direct route providers around the globe. By using a single account Carriexchange members avail the option to place their desired buy and sell orders for several destinations in real time. This ultimately reduces members' dependence to any single supplier. Below is a list of advantages for migrating to Carriexchange;

2. If I want to change the route plans, how long will it take for the changes to take effect?
You can change the route plans in real time and the changes will take effect immediately.

3. Is there any kind of commitment to send a minimum amount of VoIP traffic?
After you register your account with CarrieXchange you will be allowed to interconnect and send your test traffic. We understand that our members cannot move all their traffic at once or at least they need time to test and decide to migrate. For this reason we don't place any minimum traffic commitment for our members accounts. Our members are free to decide how much traffic sent and how they maintain their account credit with CarrieXchange.

4. Can I check call details and other Traffic variables online??
Yes. CarrieXchange Trading Platform is designed to serve its members online. All processes of interconnection, routing, switching and accounting can be monitored and changed in real time. There are a large number of easy to use tools that help the clients to set up their preferences with ease and simplicity.

5. How can I make sure that my traffic will be channeled or I will receive traffic for my sell order?
Since CarrieXchange is a transparent exchange market for VoIP traffic, you have access to several buyers and sellers to send or receive traffic for each zone. CarrieXchange provides you the facility to choose your desired route from different sellers per zone or receive traffic from many buyers based on Quality and Price. In this way you will maximize the chance to receive more traffic or your traffic being completed.

6. How can I make sure that I've enough money in my CarrieXchange account?
Apart from online reporting tools which are provided by CarrieXchange for you, we have developed a notification service for CarrieXchange members. Members can login to their account, and specify the minimum Credit Limit by which they prefer to be notified. Minimum Credit Limit notifications will be automatically sent to member's account every time the limit is reached.

7. How long will it take for my service to be operational so I can send traffic?
Just follow these three steps and your system is ready to function.

  • Register to open your account (account activation is immediate)
    • Analyze the market
    • Setup Your buy and sell trunk
    • Interconnect your switching facilities by entering CarrieXchange routing information
    • Set your route plans
  • Make the payment (even a minimum payment by credit card for test traffic can be processed online)
  • Start sending traffic
  • Setup your sell trunk
  • Interconnect your sell trunk with your switching facilities
  • Place your sell order under your sell trunk
Now your account is ready for buying or selling traffic.

8. I have created the Route plan for several Zones, when can I start sending traffic to those destinations?
Immediately after creating the Trunks and assigning them to the originating gateways you can start sending traffic if you have enough credit in your account.

9. Which parameters do I need to provide for adding a gateway?
The most important parameter is the IP address of the originating gateway. You may also need to provide A Name, Gateway Vendor, Software Version, and number of ports for your gateway.

10. Do I have any limitation for number of gateways/switches that I can add under my sell or buy trunk?
No. Technically speaking, there is no limit to the number of gateways/switches you can add. But as a practical suggestion, it is not wise to add many gateways/switches for a single trunk.

11. I have registered for an account but I have not made any payment. Can I still view the features available under my account with CarrieXchange?
Yes. You can login to your account, view the market, create the route plan for several destinations, and setup your gateways and a lot more. You only need to make payment before sending live traffic.

Payment

1. Which methods of payment do you accept?
The usual payment method is wire transfer to our bank account. However, credit card payments are also accepted but not encouraged.

Technical

1. Which VoIP protocols do you support?
We support SIP and H323.

2. Which Codices do you support?
We support G.723, G.729 and G.711 codices.

3. Can we send traffic from several IP addresses using the same account?
Yes, you can send traffic from several IP addresses using your CarrieXchange Account.

4. How do I know if a Rate or Country Code has changed?
In settings enable the notification option and specify your preferences. You will receive Rate or Code change alerts thru SMS or Email Address you have specified.
